Massage Therapy In Nelson

Feel Good In Your Own Skin

Are you tired of feeling sore? Is your neck, back or shoulders starting to complain? Or is it time to slow down, relax and unwind?

Living with pain, tension and tight muscles can affect how you move, work and enjoy life. If you’re experiencing muscular aches and pains, headaches, stress, work strain or the effects of poor posture, massage can help ease muscular tension, improve mobility and help you feel more comfortable in your body again.

With over 25 years of experience, I provide personalised massage therapy in Nelson in a calm and supportive environment where you can slow down, unwind and take time out from the stresses of everyday life. Every massage is tailored to how your body feels on the day, using the pressure that is right for you and focusing on the areas that need the most attention.

I offer a range of massage treatments including relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage and pregnancy massage. Whether you’re looking for relief from everyday aches and pains, a moment to slow down or simply an opportunity to recharge, my aim is to help you leave feeling deeply relaxed, balanced and restored, ready to take on life again with renewed energy and ease.

My goal is simple: to help you walk out feeling better than when you arrived.

Please note:  I do not offer any sexual or sensual massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

– Gentle but deep massage for injuries, tight or frozen muscles –

Is your back playing up? Are your muscles feeling tight or is a frozen shoulder stopping you moving comfortably?

This massage is designed to help ease muscular aches and pains, lower back pain, frozen shoulders and areas of long-term muscular tightness. The pressure is always adjusted to suit your comfort level, focusing on releasing tension rather than creating unnecessary discomfort.

Although this uses deeper pressure where it is needed, I work using comfortable medium pressure, focusing on releasing muscular tension without causing unnecessary pain. Many people are surprised that muscles often respond better to steady, comfortable pressure than overly painful massage.

Clients leave with a smile of their face – feeling taller, lighter, and happy that they can move freely again.

Using flowing massage techniques and gentle to medium pressure, this massage helps ease muscular tension, calm a busy mind and support your overall wellbeing. I also give extra attention to the back, neck and shoulders, where many people naturally hold stress and tension.

This is a wonderful choice if you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or simply need the opportunity to slow down, recharge and reconnect with yourself in a calm, supportive environment.

Give yourself permission to slow down and simply enjoy feeling deeply relaxed, balanced and restored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can massage help with stress and anxiety?

Many people book a massage because they are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or unable to switch off.

Stress doesn’t just affect the mind. It often shows up in the body as tight shoulders, neck tension, headaches, poor sleep, fatigue, shallow breathing, or a feeling of being constantly on edge.

Massage can help by reducing muscle tension, calming the body, and supporting the nervous system to move from a state of stress into a more relaxed and restorative state. Many clients report feeling calmer, sleeping better, and finding it easier to cope with everyday challenges after a massage.

While massage is not a treatment for anxiety disorders, it can be a valuable part of an overall wellbeing plan and may help reduce many of the physical symptoms associated with stress and anxiety.

For clients who would like additional support, I also offer a personalised pathway that may include massage, hypnotherapy, and practical tools you can use at home to help you move from stress and overwhelm towards greater calm, resilience, and wellbeing.

Can massage help headaches?

Yes. Tight muscles through the neck, shoulders and upper back can contribute to tension headaches. Massage helps release muscular tension, improve movement and reduce the stress that often accompanies headaches. Every treatment is tailored to how your body feels on the day.

Can massage help neck and shoulder pain?

Yes. Many people spend long hours sitting at a desk, driving or looking at screens, which can lead to tight muscles, stiffness and discomfort through the neck and shoulders. Massage helps release tension, improve mobility and restore more comfortable movement.

Can massage help lower back pain?

Massage can often help relieve muscular tension contributing to lower back pain. Treatments are tailored to your individual needs and focus on the areas that need the most attention, helping you move more comfortably again.

Which type of massage should I choose?

If you’re unsure which massage is right for you, don’t worry. We’ll discuss how you’re feeling before your appointment and choose the treatment that best suits your needs. Every massage is tailored to how your body feels on the day, so treatments can easily be adapted as needed.

How often should I have a massage?

This depends on your individual needs. Some people enjoy a massage every few weeks as part of their self-care routine, while others book when they’re experiencing pain, tension or increased stress. Together we can discuss what feels right for you.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available and make a thoughtful gift for birthdays, Christmas, Mother’s Day or anyone who could benefit from some time to relax, recharge and feel cared for.

What types of massage do you offer?

I provide professional therapeutic and relaxation massage designed to relieve muscular tension, reduce stress and support wellbeing. I do not provide erotic or sexual massage services.
