ABOUT ELAYNE
Holistic Therapy Approach
I am a holistic therapist based in Nelson with over 25 years of experience supporting people through massage therapy, hypnotherapy, reiki healing, meditation, nervous system regulation and natural therapies.
My work combines bodywork, somatic approaches, nervous system support and emotional wellbeing practices to help people slow down, release stress and reconnect with themselves more deeply.
I work from the heart and aim to create a calm, supportive space where people can relax, feel safe and begin to unwind both physically and emotionally.
Massage and Somatic Bodywork
Sessions may include massage, deeper muscular bodywork, relaxation techniques, nervous system support, guided breathing, aromatherapy and hypnotherapy depending on what is needed.
Over the years, I have become increasingly interested in how stress, emotional holding patterns and long-term tension are stored within the body and nervous system.
My approach is individual, grounded and tailored to the person. Some people come for relaxation, while others are looking for support with chronic tension, emotional stress, pain, fatigue, burnout, anxiety or life changes.
Teaching and Courses
I also teach massage, meditation and personal growth courses designed to help people better understand the connection between the body, mind and nervous system.
Teaching allows me to share practical tools for relaxation, body awareness, emotional wellbeing and self-care in a grounded and supportive way.
I enjoy creating calm learning environments where people can feel comfortable, supported and encouraged to reconnect with themselves more deeply.
Experience, Training & Areas of Interest
My background includes training in Hypnotherapy, Aromatherapy, Chi Nei Tsang, Massage Touch for Health Kinesiology, Reiki, Meditation, and Adult Teaching.
Study and professional development continue to be an important part of my work, and I regularly explore new approaches in bodywork, nervous system regulation, healing, stress reduction, and personal growth.
Over time, my work has naturally evolved toward supporting people with:
Releasing stress and long-term tension held in the body
Helping release patterns of tension, stress and emotional holding within the body through somatic bodywork
Supporting nervous system regulation through body awareness, breathwork and hands-on therapeutic support
Supporting relaxation, grounding and reconnection with the body
Assisting women through menopause and life transitions
Helping people change habits and patterns of behaviour
Supporting the mind/body connection and holistic wellbeing.
I genuinely love the work I do: helping people reconnect with themselves and to feel good in their own skin.
A little about me
Outside of work, I enjoy nature, travel, meditation, reading, music and spending time in places that help me recharge and reconnect.
Travel and nature are two of the ways I like to restore myself.
Travel and nature are two of the things that bring me the greatest sense of joy, peace and reconnection.
